Hi, I’m Aviel Haim, also known as Álvaro, and I’m here to be your personal travel planner and coach.
Over the years, I’ve explored all 24 regions of Peru and traveled to 34 countries. I studied tourism management in both Peru and Australia, and I bring over 20 years of experience in the industry.
As a tourism professional and certified travel coach, I’ve had the privilege of helping many travelers discover Peru in an authentic and smart way.
When visiting Peru, many travelers feel overwhelmed by the countless options they find online or through travel agencies. As a result, they sometimes make decisions based on trends or biased advice, only to realize too late that there was a more personalized and meaningful way to plan their trip—one that truly aligns with their needs, interests, and goals.
It all began with some soul-searching…
Let me share a little about why I do what I do. ✈️
While working as a traditional travel agent, I noticed that many of the services I offered were focused on mass tourism and didn’t always cater to those seeking authentic, meaningful experiences. It was frustrating not being able to provide more local and unconventional options that truly matched my clients’ personal interests. That’s when I decided to take a new direction and become an independent travel planner. This change allowed me not only to offer the typical agency services but also to provide local, personalized experiences that, for various reasons, are often missing from conventional travel agencies. Though I saw improvements in my clients’ satisfaction, something inside me kept telling me there was still more to achieve.
In 2018, after reflecting on my own travel experiences, I realized that I wasn’t actually enjoying them as much as I had hoped. I used to plan my trips based on “must-see” lists and recommendations from others, without stopping to consider whether those choices truly connected with me—my interests, my travel style, or what genuinely made me happy.
That’s when I understood I needed to do some introspection to uncover what I was truly seeking deep within myself through each travel experience. That’s how I started planning my trips differently, incorporating an inner journey as well—one that invites us to heal, reconnect, grow, and transform, gradually bringing us closer to our goals and best selves.When I changed the way I traveled and began doing it with a more personal purpose—aligning each trip with what truly mattered to me (and what, without realizing it, I also needed)—I discovered a completely new way to enjoy my travels. That transformation inspired me to take it a step further, which is why I decided to become a certified travel coach. I wanted to combine myexperience as a traveler, my professional background, my career journey, and this new training to help people like you enjoy their travel experiences more, turning them into a real opportunity for well-being and personal growth.
